It's alive! *crazed laughter*

My New Year's Resolution this year was to start posting on DW again. It's October. *facepalm* That's a pretty good indication of how my year's gone so far.
So! I am (hopefully) going to really, actually start using this thing again. It's been a long time since I last posted, so if you've lost interest in following me or don't remember how we know each other, this would be a good time to un-friend me with absolutely zero hard feelings. Hopefully we'll meet again in another shared fandom in the future. :)
If you're still here, feel free to come say hi in the comments, and tell me what you've been up to.
The less said about my personal and professional life over the past couple of years, the better. I'm sure it's been rough for everyone, given the whole state of everything right now. I hope you've all been staying safe and not going too nuts if you're cooped up. *hugs*
Let's talk about fandom instead! I watched Daredevil a few months ago and then re-watched the first series of Jessica Jones, and now I'm going to give Luke Cage and Iron Fist a try. I am enthusiastically shipping Matt and Foggy, since there's nothing like best friends and identity porn to get me invested in a couple, but I am also enjoying Matt and Elektra's explosive chemistry and Jessica and Trish's adorableromance friendship. I made heart eyes when Trish told Jess "You're exactly the hero I wanted you to be."
I am super excited for Yuletide this year! It hasn't been a great writing year so far, so I'm still torn between signing up and just cheering from the sidelines. Either way, I threw a couple of things into the tagset; Marvel: 1602 so I can request Matt and Foggy (I know, sorry), the Stardust film, and my perennial False Colors request. If I sign up I might request worldbuilding for His Dark Materials or The Book of Dust, or both. It's really cool that they're allowing worldbuilding as a separate tag this year - I'm interested to see how that goes.
(Has anyone read the first two Book of Dust books? I have many feelings about both those and Serpentine, but I will save them for another post.)
I started volunteering as a tag wrangler last year. (No, wait, 2019? I think it was 2019. What is time?) I was already kind of obsessed with the tag search function and kept looking through tag trees, so it was the perfect excuse to do that all the time. I thought it might make me better at tagging my own work, but I still sit there for ten minutes with the posting form open and my mind a complete blank.
That's pretty much the state of me! I hope you've all had a good and happy year so far, and that life and fandom are treating you well. ♥
